The hairdresser named Lisa is wonderful I asked her to do something with my hair I gave her an idea she completed the plan. It looks great I like it so much that from now on she is my hairstylist...I recommend Lisa to anyone that wants a wonderful hairstyle, color and cut!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I hope what happened to me, NEVER EVER happens to anyone. This place seems to be run by an oriental family, half of whom DO NOT speak english properly. I'm a visible minority myself however I'm able to communicate my needs very well, as it should be apparent from my communication here with you. I recently moved to Houston area from Nor-cal area, and was looking for a "sure-bet" on a salon. Seeing your corporate name "Aveda" plastered on this salon, I asked them to touch up my roots and touch up my layers. I had hair below my shoulders and was looking for the lady to MAINTAIN my roots and my cut. I specifically explained to her that I have medium brown dye and only want my roots done. She started off with roots, and then upon realizeing she'd mixed the WRONG shade dyed my entire head. I pointed it out, telling her I am very particular about not over coloring or over damaging my hair, however it seemed to make little or no difference to her. Her excuse was, that your dyes didn't exactly match any of the color in my hair, which I do not believe. I let that go ..then she started the cut. I had piecy layers, with short ones starting at about my ears, followed by cascading short layered peices until my shoulder length, if you can picture it. However, it was all grown out by 2 months, so you can imagine they were just sitting lower. I specified how that was my look and accordingly she'd need to cut it. She seemed to say yes yes a lot, and say "ok I get it I get it" but, in reality she clearly didn't. Instead, she cut it all one length, just a little above my shoulders and trimmed my bangs. I stopped her , as she reached for the hair dryer, explaining to her, this all seems one length? I'm looking for piecy layers..she insisted no no I "blended your layer" whatever that means and I told her, no I would like shorter layers. Once again she assured me "Ohh ok I see ok Let me do it" and she just got hold of a big chunk around my crown, cut it all off by good 3 inches, and said done. It was horrible. I look like a blast from the past with this short men style crown cut, followed by this long tail of hair sitting under it. To top it off, she asked the owners to charge me $105 for the whole ordeal!! I told the owner, look there is no way I can walk outside looking like this, and was reduced to tears, I mean my hair is now super short, with uneven and no layers in fact. At this point, the owner instructed this other lady called "Lisa" to come and fix whatever this lady "Nada" had ruined. Lisa was understanding, and kind however it was too late for her to do any thing more than damage control. She herself even told me how she saw Nada not give a care about what I am saying, and apologized profusely, howver Nada seems to be related to the oriental owners of this place, and in turn kept yelling out loud saying" I did what you ask me to do...why u complain" in her broken english. I am shocked, I mean I expect a certain level of hairdressers to be working at a salon carrying the Aveda name, I used to frequent Aveda's Santana Row location in San Jose, CA all the time and never ran into this issue. I told the owner, I refuse to pay for the haircut so she reduced my amount and charged me for the dye $70, but in all honesty all I'm left with are scraps of hair and an option to wear a hat for a month or so until it grows out and looks relatively normal. Lisa has offered that in 4 wks or so, I can come back and she can try and fix my hair, however if she were to try and fix it now, my hair would need to go shorter and it won't look good. What I fail to understand is why are these kinds of people allowed to operate a salon that carries the Aveda name and their price tags? all their supposed stylist did was no more than what any underqualified stylist at super cuts would do and I had to pay a salon price for it.

Please be warned that this salon is a risky choice for a good haircut. I received a terrible haircut and asked for a refund and was denied. Think carefully before going to this salon.

I was very pleased that there was not a strong odor in the nail area. They have air filters so I did not feel sleepy & queezy when I left, as I do at other nail salons. I have gone back since my first visit. Nice Yellow Pages ad, I keep it with my nail polish & supplies
